Time again to review some of my sewing projects recently. Apparently it’s been quite a few months since I checked in! Here are some kid clothes I made last year, most for my 5yo, but also some for my daughters.
Read MoreHow is your summer going? My kids start back at school in three weeks, which makes me realize how much the summer has flown by. We’ve been busier than ever, with my oldest off at two church camps and a national competition for TSA (Technology club), my second one attending one church camp and three school “innovations”, my third attending a school Stem Camp, and all of my kids signed up for whatever free library events I could find.
Read MoreIt’s the first week of Spring and I’m spending more time outside in the sunshine and less time curled up under a blanket on my couch. I love this time of year and am trying to get our yard looking a little nicer. Last year we removed the rest of the yew bushes around our home and two large pine trees in our front yard. Consequently, our yard is pretty barren now.
Read MoreGlancing back at my sewing since I last posted, I have not actually done a lot of projects compared what I normally do. I think the biggest reason is that I teach an early morning scripture study class to the high schoolers at church, and I am always tired. But I did manage to make some fun Halloween costumes, pretty Christmas dresses, and a few other things. Plus I made stockings for my seasonal stocking business.
Read MoreI can’t believe that we are just two weeks away from school. I was not really looking forward to this summer because I’m tired of people being around all the time, but it’s been pretty enjoyable. Unfortunately I have spent much of the summer suffering from back issues that make it painful to sit, so it feels like I have laid around half the summer! I did get a fair amount of sewing done at the beginning, and now that I’m finally on the mend, I can sit and sew for short periods, so I’m once again resuming normal activities, just modified.
