Summer Sewing

How is your summer going? My kids start back at school in three weeks, which makes me realize how much the summer has flown by. We’ve been busier than ever, with my oldest off at two church camps and a national competition for TSA (Technology club), my second one attending one church camp and three school “innovations”, my third attending a school Stem Camp, and all of my kids signed up for whatever free library events I could find.

Halloween and Holiday Sewing

Glancing back at my sewing since I last posted, I have not actually done a lot of projects compared what I normally do. I think the biggest reason is that I teach an early morning scripture study class to the high schoolers at church, and I am always tired. But I did manage to make some fun Halloween costumes, pretty Christmas dresses, and a few other things. Plus I made stockings for my seasonal stocking business.

Summer Sewing

I can’t believe that we are just two weeks away from school. I was not really looking forward to this summer because I’m tired of people being around all the time, but it’s been pretty enjoyable. Unfortunately I have spent much of the summer suffering from back issues that make it painful to sit, so it feels like I have laid around half the summer! I did get a fair amount of sewing done at the beginning, and now that I’m finally on the mend, I can sit and sew for short periods, so I’m once again resuming normal activities, just modified.
