Pattern Release: Allegra Wallet

It’s Pattern Release Day for my newest pattern, the Allegra Wallet! I absolutely love this new pattern. I’ve been working on this pattern off and on for over a year. After Christmas I got serious about it and worked out the kinks. This wallet is both stylish and practical.

The original inspiration was a similar frame wallet I saw online, but I wanted to put my own stamp on it. I decided to also draft a smaller version to be used with a shorter frame. I also know that lots of bag makers don’t feel comfortable with using purse frames, so I designed a version with zipper. That means that between the two sizes and frame or zipper options, there are four variations in this pattern! There are also a couple other ways to customize. You can add strap attachments and a strap to the large size, and you can also change one of the cash slots into a gusseted phone compartment. Some phones are small enough to fit in the frame/zipper section, but my phone is too big, so I used the phone compartment option for my own wallet.

If you need help finding frames for this pattern, I wrote a blog post here with some information.

The pattern is on sale this weekend through Monday, U.S. Eastern time.

And now, I will showcase all my tester versions. A lot of my testers made multiple wallets! They really loved this pattern too, and I’m so excited for you to see what they made. If they made any modifications, I’ll make a note out of it.

You will receive a zipped file with three files:

1. The first is the A4/letter file with pattern instructions. This pattern includes 41 pages of instructions, with detailed diagrams and links to a video tutorial. There are 12 pages of the printable pattern for the Large and 9 for the Small, but there is also a Cut Chart for rectangle pieces to eliminate most of the paper pieces. Pattern instructions are given in both inches and centimeters. This can be printed on Letter or A4 paper.

2. The second file is an A0/copyshop file meant to be printed at a copy shop or on a large format printer. This is one page. There is a print release on that file in the bottom left corner.

3. The third file is a Projector file. An increasing number of people are utilizing projectors for sewing. This file includes several layers with a 1” and 4 cm grid each on their own layer and each size on a layer. There are also inverted layers, which have a black background and white lines and work better on certain fabrics. The exterior, lining and interfacing pieces are each on their own page.

The A0 and Projector files were included April 2023. If you purchased the pattern before this, contact me through the Contact link to receive the new files.
